This navy, turquoise and grey necklace consists of 9 tagua beads, sliced thinly. placed by hand and sewn together.
The beads are approximately 1.25 inches by 1.5 inches (3 cm by 4 cm).
The entire length of the necklace is 35 inches long with 10 inch long adjustable cords on each side of the beads.
Tagua grows on palm trees in the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador. Indigenous people gather the nuts and dry them in the sun. Tagua is harvested sustainably from the Rainforest. It’s very hard, light and durable and can be carved just like ivory.
